unable to shrink IBDATA1 file (no replies)

hello team ,

currently we are on 5.7 version and we have observed that IBDATA1 file is increasing.

Total Size of DB is 21G but under the var/lib/MySQL we have around 55GB in which only IBDATA1 is consuming 25G

Steps taken to over come :- As we are using version 5.7 by default we have innodb_file_per_table = 1 and we have innodb_log_file_size=1G as we have buffer_pool Size as 4G

then we have did restarted the DB but no use …

Solutions in Google sites to take backup , remove files and restore . I cannot do in such way …
