internal dictionary and frm file issue. (no replies)

I recently migrated from a mysql install on windows 2003 to windows 2008. To migrate my databases I did an sql dump and then a restore on the new system, both with SQLyog. I am getting a bunch of errors like this in my event log:

Cannot find or open table TABLENAME from
the internal data dictionary of InnoDB though the .frm file for the
table exists. Maybe you have deleted and recreated InnoDB data
files but have forgotten to delete the corresponding .frm files
of InnoDB tables, or you have moved .frm files to another database?
or, the table contains indexes that this version of the engine
doesn't support.

If I use sqlyog to look at the suspect table I can see it and even look at the data. The table is in use with a web application without issue. Deleting the corresponding .frm file of course makes it so I can no longer see the table. So basically I am not sure what is going on here, my online searches for this error finds people with the same error but they can not access the table where as I can. Any ideas? On a side note the hard drive space on this new install is falling rapidly though I can not find the suspect file(s) taking the space. I suspect a hidden mysql log file or something, not sure if it is related to this problem.
