Is there a plan to fix the problem caused when INNODB need to add a new index and or column in one table?, really create a new table just to add a new column or a new index really is very slow, just think if you have a table with 200GB of data, move all data just to add two empty columns does not make sense, that is a waste of time, i see some benefits in do it in that way but make changes in big databases in production is really inificient if you try to compare to sql server or Oracle. Please let me know if that is going to be fixed in any moment?

I would say that there are other problems associated to that, I have been testing using a table with 6GB of data and table seems increase their size in a really slow way, yes memory helps but that is not enought.
