We have mysql community 5.6.23 installed on Hyper-V virtual server with 16GB ram
on Windows Server2012 R2 Standard, Mysql is on drive C: and mysql data is on drive E: which is on RAID 11
when we change a table structure in one particular database, the mysql service stops on executing the sql script.
The sql command is
After this situation, the mysql service cannot be re-started any more.
We tried to re-install the mysql server again to point to the already existing data, but not even the new installation service could be started.
The only way to get the service started again was to re-copy the whole data folder of mysql
Has anyone met with this situation before?
